There where 130 people, mostly women, in attendance or this townhall. The women there were farmworkers, former garment workers, as well as mothers, grandmothers and wives. Thoughout the townhall, it was evident the pride these women had in their work, communities and their families.

It was a wonderful commemoration of International Women's Day to see the people of El Paso and Las Cruces share their respect, love and responsibility for their communities by coming out to the Equal Voice for America's Families townhall. By doing this, they ensured that their voice, and that of their families, was indeed heard.
