The townhall in Atlanta was part of a full day of events, including the 28th annual Poor Peoples’ Assembly and the US Social Forum’s Global Day of Action. A coalition of more than 70 groups caravanned through the streets of Atlanta, and after a rally at the State Capitol came together for the first ever Poor Peoples’ Assembly and Equal Voice for America's Families townhall. Families across the country are taking advantage of the opportunity to speak at Equal Voice for America's Families townhalls about their lives and the issues that concern them most.
